Willy stolk

"mel gibson talks about his old man and his dad yeah he's 93 or something and then he he he got hobbled in in the wheelchair and then in the next one he comes in and he picks up the the quite large mexican woman and walks her out yeah at 93 years old"
Willy Stolk

What do you say about this podcast with Willy Stolk. He will admit that he was born with a silver spoon in his mouth and the man has decided to take it and run. He traveled the world in his early years as a professional snowboarder, chasing winter and women. He blew out his ACL and decided to leave the athlete dream behind but retained his longing for the women.

Willy is involved in the Ballin’ on a Budget Instagram page and is one of Australia’s leading Cannabis activists through the Craze Co. Originally we did this podcast with his partner in Craze Co. but it was one of the first podcast we did in the new studio and we had technical difficulties and lost it. I promised Willy that we would run it back and that is the podcast you have before your very eyes.

To be honest, I don’t really remember what we spoke about. It was like Willy, wild and all over the place. That isn’t a bad thing though.

At the time of writing this, and posting this show, recording the podcast is unfortunately the thing that I do the least. We have been so busy working on extra content for this new site, content for sponsors, trying to ride, trying to train and trying to have a personal life…  It’s something that only I know when it comes to doing these shows. But around this time was maybe one of the most hectic times of my life for me personally. Relationships wise I had a lot going on, there was a lot of pressure with work after overcommiting the last half of 2021 and the holidays fast approaching.

The one thing that I do remember from this podcast is the sense of relief I felt when we closed the door and pressed record. I am grateful to have rad people like Willy who are down to come on the show and just see where it goes. These three hours were a respite from the hectic world I have created for myself and I hope you all enjoy the chat.

I hope you all don’t mind the ramblings here… I am doing my best to make these extended descriptions a bit more personal in the hope that the Gang can feel a little more connected to the shows and they listen along.

CHAPTER 248 Ft. Jo Shimoda

Jo Shimoda is one of the fastest rising stars in the sport and the only Japanese rider currently racing at the top level of the sport. Jo has had a dream run over the past few years chalking up multiple wins and podiums in Supercross and the AMA Pro Motocross series, culminating in a second overall this past summer to phenom Jett Lawrence.

CHAPTER 247 Ft. Denan Kemp

Denan Kemp is more than just a Bloke in a Bar. He is the man behind the biggest sports podcast in Australia and has built a brand around his podcast that I truly look up too. Since I first came across the Bloke podcast I have looked up to Denan and I have been looking forwards to the day that he finally made his debut on Gypsy Tales.

CHAPTER 247 Ft. Justin Barcia

Justin Barcia has been on of my favourite riders since he was on an 85cc 2-stroke ripping MTF and taking out every older rider in his path. He was one of the most hyped amateurs to ever turn pro, and he didn’t disappoint. JB went on to earn himself two Lites Supercross titles while also earning his now infamous nickname Bam Bam.
