She’s going to live with a

member of the gypsy gang!

drawn 04/04/2023

I feel so lucky to have such an awesome community behind this podcast, and I would love nothing more than to see this epic little 125cc racehorse go to a member of the Gypsy Gang!

We really are a world wide community, and I have looked through our analytics to see the main countries and territories that listen to / watch the podcast in an effort to make this bike available to as many of you as possible! We have a list of the countries on the terms and conditions so please read them to make sure.  With the bike itself and all of the upgrades and accessories this bike is valued at well over $20,000 dollars!

Once we have picked our winner on the 5th of april, we will pack the bike in a box and (as long as I am allowed in the country) I will fly to where you’re at, assemble it and bring you your new 2-Stroke. I’m also keen to ride with you at your local track once we’ve dropped if off. To us this is more than giving a bike away… This build has been going for way too long, but because of that it has become such a cool project that has bought a bunch of us all together. For me this is an awesome chance to let this bike live on within our Gypsy Tales community and a really good symbol of what this new platform actually means to us.

YOU MIGHT BE WONDERING?

Let us answer some of the questions you might be asking yourself

So how can I get my hands on this bike?

Anyone who becomes an annual member of gypsy-tales.com, and tells us in 25 words or less why they need a new bike, is going to go in the draw to win.

Basically, I am going to take this bike as-is, pull it down, put it in a box and send it to one of you…  And if you don’t win you still have a year’s access to the new Gypsy Gang HQ site and all of the perks that come with it. Right off the bat we will be releasing our 125 Build Series, OFF-SZN Ft. Jack Miller, our Island Hopping and coming soon will be our 350 Dream Build, Cape Trip and more!

What’s on the bike?

Everything that we used during the build will be staying on this bike. Below is a full parts list, but we’ll go over some of the key items here; and you can also follow along with our build videos to see exactly what went into this build.

One of the major upgrades to this bike was in the handling department. We enlisted the help of MXTech in the US and we were absolutely blown away with the package that they came up with for us. On the front end, we kept the stock externals but had the forks Kashima coated up top, and DLC coated below, to reduce friction. SKF seals internally provide even further improvement there and the air system was replaced by the industry leading MXT Blackjack System. We didn’t stop there… WP were kind enough to supply us with a set of their Factory Triple Clamp setup straight out of their Hard Parts catalog. Not only do they look amazing, and are the same clamps that you will see on the Factory Rockstar Huskys; but they also improve the front end feel dramatically. We then added a set of the PHDS bar mounts to complete our front end suspension upgrade.

This whole package gives the front end of this bike so much feel. I have never felt more comfortable with the front end of a motorcycle and it’s the first time I have ever been able to notice flex characteristics in a positive way. The Blackjack inserts do an amazing job with feel, plushness and bottoming resistance and this bike was perfect for me as an intermediate rider to Jackson Richardson at the pro level.

On the front end we also added our favorite ODI bars and grips and some ARC levers to complete the cockpit.

We didn’t just stop there with the suspension… Another huge upgrade for this bike was the MXTech National Shock. This is one of the most advanced shocks on the market. Not only is it one of the lightest shocks available, but it is also the most adjustable. It also uses top of the line SKF seals and DLC / Kashima coatings. Again the difference is night and day.

When going from stock suspension to the MXTech kit I was able to drop 4 seconds off my lap time around a track I knew really well. I didn’t think suspension would be worth that much time on the track but the extra comfort and predictability really made me feel confident, and safe to hook in!

We made some other changes that I think improve the overall feel of the bike. We added a set of the Ballards Off-Road titanium foot pegs, a must have on any bike in my opinion! We used a GUTS Racing seat cover to give us more grip and a set of Kite wheels to save on some overall weight and tie in some of the looks we were going for.

Motor wise we also made some changes. If you follow along with the build video series you will see that we had some issues with this bike from stock. The result of this is a brand new motor essentially… New main bearings, new crank, completely new cylinder, piston rings… The whole kit and kaboodle! The motor was Cerakoted by Papa Pete and we added a Lectron Carb to add some HP and take care of all our jetting needs! We weren’t done there… The guys at Lusty Industries hooked us up with a Bills Pipe that looks amazing, sounds racey and adds some extra punch.

We wanted to add some bling to the bike, so we added some anodized parts from the Ballard’s catalog and the result is one mint looking engine that runs like a dream!

In the looks department we decided to upgrade the tired blue stock paint with a pearl white from the guys at Livin Loco garage on the Gold Coast. We added a brand new set of Acerbis plastics to the bike and a custom sticker kit from the guys at Rival Ink Design Co. If you do manage to win this bike, it will be shipped to you with your very own set of custom decals from the guys at Rival.

The end result is a truely epic little 125. This is by far the coolest bike I have ever owned and it breaks my heart a little to not get to rip this dream machine any more BUT I am so pumped that it will be going to one of the gang!
